Dr. Bhattacharya completed his MBBS and MS in General Surgery at Medical College Kolkata. His plastic and cosmetic surgery training began at Lok Nayak Hospital and associated MAMC, New Delhi, followed by an MCh at PGIMER Chandigarh.
He subsequently trained in advanced cosmetic surgery in Curitiba, Brazil, under Prof. Ruth Graf. His listed qualifications include MRCS (England) and a visiting fellowship in cosmetic surgery in Brazil.
